About
Camila is an artist and designer from Bogota, Colombia, now based in Chicago. Drawn to art from a young age, Camila’s early works include interpretations of the landscapes of the Colombian countryside, which are currently held in private collections. Upon moving to the United States, she earned a Masters with honors from the Academy of Art, San Francisco. Camila’s emotional use of abstract forms reflect her interpretation of the existential condition of constant change.
Her work is deeply influenced by the fluid, unpredictable nature of life. Just as water flows, shifts, and transforms, Camila’s artistic practice embraces change and evolution. Whether working with acrylics, oils, or mixed media, she is drawn to the freedom of expression that comes with unpredictability. Each piece reflects this ongoing transformation, an exploration of color, texture, and form that evolves organically throughout the creative process.
For Camila, art is not just about creating; it is about capturing the essence of change, the beauty in movement, and the harmony that emerges from fluidity. Her paintings invite viewers to reflect on their own experiences of transformation and flow, offering a space to meditate on the ever-changing journey of life.
